Hi Mick

I hope you remember me. I'm brazilian, from São Paulo, and I had the
best days of my life last week beside you and the whole band.

I was at the dinner, the hotel (when you signed all my CDS, DVD, boxes),
the concert and finally the dressing room. If you see my face you'll
certanly remember. You ask me to write you, so that's what I'm doing
here.

I just want to comment how the great the concert was. In particular
moments I shivered, very rare to happen with music nowadays.

So we  thank you and all the band because you're not only great musicians and composers, but you are very kind and lovely
people!!

It's a pity that I can't go to the acoustic tour. Hope to see you as
soon as possible here in Brazil again.

If you want, we can send you a couple of pictures of our great moments.

Big Hug and as you say to me twice (HELLO MY FRIEND, which keeps in my
mind.

Springy greetings from Finland, Mick! :D
you probably remember me and my friend from Rockperry Festival in Vaasa in July. We saw you and Trevor at the marketplace downtown. You gave us picks for both of us and we took pictures with you and Bolder. We were in front of you when you played your sweeeeet Black Beauty. ;)

It looks like that you are coming to here in Finland in November and
with an acoustic show! Once again, all I can say is WOW!! I have seen
Heep now four times and your upcoming show in Pakkahuone, Tampere would be my fifth time.

Hi Mick,

many greetings from Germany!

I remember how we met in December 01 in
Bremen at "Aladin". Do you remember, too?

Now I´m already sixteen years old and I hope to see you and especially

Bernie
again in Bremen this year.

How are you?

I hope to hear
from you maybe.

Greetings,

Hi Mick. You are a great guitarist, and seems to be a very nice guy. I dont know if you remember a Heep-gig in Gothenburg with Meat Loaf in 1989...but you threw your armlet (or whatever the English word for it are) out in the audience...

and I happened to catch it. I was very happy about it,so now I keep it in an airtight container in my secret wardrobe.

Will save it for my son...he´s 8 months and already a Heepfan.
Hi Mick, You may not remember me but we started a group that used to practice in my mum's front room in St. Andrews rd. about 42 years ago. I carried on playing drums until about eight years ago, but unfortunately never made it.

However I'm very glad that you did, we always thought you were a great guitarist back then. playing Nola on a guitar that was described as having an action like a bow and arrow.

best regards
Wow.....THE Mick Box. I can't begin to tell you what a huge influence you have been to me as a guitarist and just life in general, nor can I begin to thank you for the many wonderful years of Heep fandom I have enjoyed. I have always listed you as my primary influence (along with Iommi). I got into Heep when I was about 14 and have been a huge fan ever since.

There aren't too many bands I was into at age 16 which I still listen to daily, but Uriah Heep is required listening everyday. It never gets old

Thanks again for the music and the memories. 'Appy Days, mate
Dear Mick

Elo Mick!

Man, ever since I started listening to Rainbow demon :Live and Studio '94-'98, I found a new level of music and a new level of guitar, both together and separate.

I really am speechless for once!

Thank you for all you've ever done!
Hi Mick, Me, my wife and my friends were listening to and your pals in Uriah Heep here in our home town Vasa. It was music from a wizard. My wife said that she will never listen to any other band. It was the first time Uriah live for her. I was very glad to here Free Me. I had just been playing that song at our home for my friends before we left to listen to you.

Of cause Mick it was amazing to listen to your guitar and your brilliant hand gestures. The good thing with Uriah is that you're all so good.

Thank you so much for visiting my home town. I will forever be proud of that you've played here. Yours faithfully
Dear Mick, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say "hello" and let you know that I saw Uriah Heep back in 1975 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. What a show!!! Buddy Miles opened for you and a good time was had by all. Hello, Mick. I am from Bulgaria and yesterday I was on a Uriah Heep`s concert in Surbia (Gitarijada)...

It was really great! I was on a backstage and you gave me your pick after the last song. It means a lot for me!

I don`t know if you remember me, but I want say Thank you! You are a great professional. See you!
Just wanted to say that since 1971 I have been a fan. My kids are 30 and 31 years old and they have grown up listening to Uriah Heep.

My son even got to see the band in concert in Calgary Alberta, Canada. You blew him and his friends away. I live in Windsor Ontario Canada and just wanted to know if you plan to play Cobo Hall

In Detroit Michigan or anywhere in the area again. There are a lot of fans here that would love to see you all again. A fan forever,
I live, because I listen Uriah Heep.

You are God of rock music. Thank You Mr.BOX. You are magician of guitar and the best guitarist in the world.

Concert in LUBIN in Poland 25.06.2006 was most beautiful. `Appy Days!
Dear Mick. I just want to thank you for all of the awesome and creative music you have made. You inspired me to learn the guitar and I still have this gift, due to your influence!! I saw you in 1971 and will never forget the "5 minutes of insanity, by Mr. Mick Box!!!" It was one of the most intense guitar solos I have ever experienced!! Also, thank you for continuing to play and keeping the Heep alive!! You have my utmost respect!! Hi Mick, I'm a huge fan of Uriah Heep and would like to thank you for keeping my favourite band alive for so long. I was lucky enough to win a poster in the prize draw thanks to your sonI hope to see you again in November for another UK tour, fingers crossed. Mick, I attended the Uriah Heep/Three Dog Night concert at Miami University around 1970. After the concert, many of the guys and their dates in my fraternity were talking about Three Dog Night afterward. However, several of us other guys were freaking out about how great Uriah Heep was (forget TDN) and especially about one of the solos you played. I swear to this day it was one of the best guitar solos I have ever heard. I continue to listen to UH and your work on Rhapsody. Hi Mick hope you are well ,its a sunny July Morning up here in Berwick as I look across the river Tweed. Nice to see so many rock stars along with Heep signing that guitar for a good cause ... Hello Mick...From this small corner of the world technoligy enables me to let you know that in the late 70s we used to play ALOT of Heeps tunes in a little power house band called Blue Steel...AND everyone loved it!!! was a 3 peice....anyway, glad you're still around and ROCK AND ROLL

Mr. Mick,

I gotta tell you that that Conquest disc has been in my CD player for
the last several days. Your guitar playing says it's Heep. I truly love
all of your music. You have been blessed with a bunch of talented
musicians throughout the years including the latest batch which have been
around forever. Thank them for me for sticking by your side. I saw you
twice in South Louisana and wish you would come back.
Thanks for enjoying your life with us all!

Hi Mick,
Thanks for all the good music and spirits
through the Uriah Heep years. i hope there is a lot of more to come!
Saw Heep first time in my hometown Aalesund in 1984, with the Goalby line up....Bernie Shaw is a much better singer for Heep (Goalby is a great
singer too). I am happy that you are always visiting Norway on your
tours....
Hope the Steff Fontaine DVD I gave you on Lillehammer worked
out........

Hi Mick

I'd just like to say thanks for everything that you've done for all
fans and especially me.  I like many others am a family man with a very
average job in an average sort of life.  The one thing that really gives
me any pleasure is Uriah Heep.  Your music makes the difference in my
life and that's all down to the commitment from you during the early
80's when Heep so nearly died but one man stood up tall and proud and
refused to let it die.  We as fans owe you so much for the past and
hopefully for a long future too.

Thanks again Mick, it's been an honour to be able to
write to the nicest man in Rock.  I'm off to look at your superb new
website now.

Take Care

me and my best mate are 100% heep fans
we love your music and listern to in when drivin in the car all the
time my mate is also in a up and coming rock band as the bassest and is so
obsesed he trys to play the thing where one hands telling the other
what to do on the fret board
they are also covering blood red roses soon we would realy love some
info on buying heep t shirts, shirts, patches etc as they are hard to
come by nothing ever on ebay but i cant think why anyone would get rid of
heep goodies anyway lol so if you can send me site addresses or
anything it would be gratfuly apreiciated thanx alot all the best
Thank you for your efforts to raise money for cancer charities. I am a
survivor of a rare bone cancer which left me with a steel plate on my
right hip and a noticeable limp. I am now 5 years cancer-free and it
makes me feel appreciative and proud to know that one of my very favorite musicians (since I was the age of 12)is so active in this area.
Continued success and I hope we can raise a lot of money to help those less
fortunate than us. All the best...

Mick
Love your style!  And have since High Priestess grabbed me about 1972.
One day maybe I can shake the hand that has given me such pure guitar
joy.

You're the top guitar master on my list!

Thank You Mick for all the great music over the years.  I have been a
huge fan since the beginning of Heep.  You guys are great!

Just like to say,,love your music,, cant get enough,, love watching your concerts on dvd,,
i have only just discovered the band (better late than never)whilst i
was watching some clips from
a german tv show. i was completely mesmerised and am now frantically
trying to catch up on so many albums and dvds though i am sticking to
those with bernie doing vocals for the time being, earlier stuff can come
later. my favourite being acoustically driven. though i do love the
heavier stuff. Hope you dont leave it too long
before you play manchester again cos i can't wait to see you live.thanks
alot for waking up my musical appetite again

Just a note to say thank you for the music new and classic.  I have
been a fan since a friend played an album for me when I was in the army in
1973.

I haven't been able to see Uriah Heep over the last decade or more as
we just don't seem to be in the same place at the same time.  I have
really enjoyed to fan mail as I have been able to keep up with the band
and I plan on taking a trip to Europe next year and my visit will include
at least a couple of shows.

Hope to see you soon.  Any plans to visit the US anytime soon?

Thanks again.
i have been a fan from the very start. i was hook after the first album
VERY 'EAVY ... VERY 'UMBLE, and apart from one album the music just
gets better and seeing you live is
an experience not to be missed. well done keep up the good work.

Hello Mick,  I'm a bass player(electric
and acoustic)/musician from the Pittsburgh, PA area in US and have been
listening to you and Uriah Heep stuff since.... well, I don't exactly
remember which year, about '71 or '72.  When my older brother brought
home a newly released "Look At Yourself."  But it was Gary Thains' bass
lines along with the bass work of some others that interested me so much
in wanting to become a bass player.  Anyway, Cheers and Rock On
Hello,Mick! One month ago I had a very fortunate opportunity to speak with you.

When I was a young boy my uncle showed me a bobbin with the recordings of wonderful music of Uriah Heep.I was 5 years old. Since then Uriah  Heep became my idol.  There was nothing in the
whole world that touched me so deep and through the difficult times in
my life helped me pull through. Thank you for your music!!!
Dear Mick,
Having been with you since the age of 12,
I just wanted to say Heep have been so much of my life, and I can't imagine a world without it.

Dear sir,
I am an old UH fan, living in Armenia.
I wish you and present and former UH musicians every success.

Hello Mick, I'm a 37 year's old french guitarist (mostly playing jazz fusion& instumental music) i just want to congratulate you on your guitar playing, you are one of these rare rock musicians abble to play with so much eloquence and 'soul', and your les paul tone is so great and warm !keep playing & recording You guys are real heroes – you came that far, in Siberia! Thank you! It was a real miracle to be at your show! It was great hot and heavy! But backstage was even greater! It was happened so mostly we talked with Phil, but we wanted to talk with all of you, especially with you, Mick, the main Heep’s man. This year we listened to Heep’s songs and it’s inspiring. Your songs are so great and strong, gorgeous and it’s a whole world that is really beautiful. It’s great to listen to Uriah Heep anywhere but even in Siberia ! You were a huge influence on my guitar playing thanks so much. I shook your hand once in Toronto when you were entering the stage and I said 'my hero' . You hesitated but had to get on stage so I missed out on having a few words with you. I'm very happy you have your own site and would hope you have an open forum as you have a lot of fans who would love to chat and ask questions and share stories. Hello, mr.Box! Must let you know that I have one of your Mick Box/Uriah heep guitar picks and I am so proud of it. You had actually placed it in my hand, so I didn't have to dive or jump to get it -lucky!-That was the time before your last concert in Athens. I wish you all the best with your music, band and life in general. Looking forward to see Uriah Heep  again.  Mick, You are undoubtedly my most favorite guitarist! I had the chance to finally meet you in person 28 July 2001 at the Camel Rock Casino in Santa Fe, NM after being a fan since 1973. The Magician's Birthday SOLO is what hooked me on to Heep and your style. I also really like your parts on "I Won't Mind" and "Salisbury" and another favorite is "Midnight Flyer" from David's 'Take No Prisoners'.  My daughter turns 7 today and she is a Heepster too! She likes how you play one-handedly. Keep on Heepin' on.
Hi Mick,I hope you're doing fine,my day couldn't start better when I opened my mailbox....thank you so much for your card and all the picks included, you know how to make somebody happy...!!! Hello Mick, Thank you & the rest of the band for all the great years of music! I am a musician myself perfroming acoustic solo shows & I like to throw in a couple of Heep tunes to keep things interesting!

Hey Mick, ever thought of bringing out an instructual course/DVD or video and other material on playing guitar?

I have a tattoo from your guitar on my arm with the band name above it!!

Only yesterday I decided to have a soak in the bath, and I always have music on while I do. So as usual I rummaged through my cd's (I also have many vinyl albums)and came across a compilation album and promptly put Very 'eavy very 'umble on! After all of these years it still stirred emotions and I still know all of the lyrics, I am glad that you are still going so keep up the good work, you shouls be proud of yourselves. I have been going to Reading festival for over 30 years Hi Mick! Can't wait for the new webite to go live!
